Artist's Description
This owl is focused on another airborne predator above. Thatβs hardly surprising when you know that this is a Little Owl; the smallest owl in the UK.
Due to its small stature, that makes this owl both predator and prey. The Little Owl is normally only found in the open in the hours before sunset and dawn. This helps them to evade larger birds of prey in their most active hunting times.

Hi and thanks for your interest! Iβm Neil and I started Blue Lens Photography UK, photography by Neil R Finlay, back in 2016 when I had been suffering from PTSD, Anxiety and Depression. After being unable to continue in my employment, I picked up a camera again and returned to my first love of Natural History.
