The Golden Eagle is the largest bird of prey here, in Northern Ireland and is a very powerful one at that.
An absolutely beautiful raptor that commands your respect because you probably wouldnβt walk away from a tangle! These powerful hunters are able to hunt for prey up to around the size of a medium sized deer and are very adept at it!

Hi and thanks for your interest! Iβm Neil and I started Blue Lens Photography UK, photography by Neil R Finlay, back in 2016 when I had been suffering from PTSD, Anxiety and Depression. After being unable to continue in my employment, I picked up a camera again and returned to my first love of Natural History. It wasnβt long before I was afforded the opportunity to become a Volunteer Photographer with the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (in Northern Ireland) at its Castle Espie centre.
