This is Donaghadee Lighthouse on the Ards Peninsula in County Down, Northern Ireland.
It sits at the end of the harbour in this quiet little seaside town.
A long exposure on a misty night shows how this, now static light, spreads its beams as a warning to shipping and seafarers alike. An important part of the safety at sea.
Hi and thanks for your interest! Iβm Neil and I started Blue Lens Photography UK, photography by Neil R Finlay, back in 2016 when I had been suffering from PTSD, Anxiety and Depression. After being unable to continue in my employment, I picked up a camera again and returned to my first love of Natural History. It wasnβt long before I was afforded the opportunity to become a Volunteer Photographer with the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (in Northern Ireland) at its Castle Espie centre. I only volunteer a short time each week, but itβs important for me to feel that Iβm giving something back and for a charitable cause close to my heart.
