Artist's Description
This is a Bufflehead diving bird which has just surfaced. The iridescent head indicates that this is a breeding male bird. The non breeding males do not share the iridescent head plumage, or contour feathers.

About Neil R Finlay
Hi and thanks for your interest! Iโm Neil and I started Blue Lens Photography UK, photography by Neil R Finlay, back in 2016 when I had been suffering from PTSD, Anxiety and Depression. After being unable to continue in my employment, I picked up a camera again and returned to my first love of Natural History.
