Strangford Lough, in Co. Down (Northern Ireland) is an area of special scientific interest (SSI) for its marine and terrestrial wildlife. It also plays host to a wide variety of boats, yachts and various other watercraft. This unusual sight is Ballrdorn Lightship. The light of the "blue hour", the red of the sun behind the clouds and the dark blue waters just add up to make this great image.
Hi and thanks for your interest! Iβm Neil and I started Blue Lens Photography UK, photography by Neil R Finlay, back in 2016 when I had been suffering from PTSD, Anxiety and Depression. After being unable to continue in my employment, I picked up a camera again and returned to my first love of Natural History. It wasnβt long before I was afforded the opportunity to become a Volunteer Photographer with the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (in Northern Ireland) at its Castle Espie centre.
